# Delete Series

Deletes a series from the organization. CFDI already issued with that series are not affected: they keep their series and folio.

A series that is the default of any CFDI type cannot be deleted. Choose another default first with [Set default series](https://docs.timbrix.mx/api-reference/series/set-default.md).

## Authentication

This endpoint requires authentication with a **user session** (Bearer token). API keys are not accepted on series routes.

* **Authorization**: `Bearer <token>`

## Path Parameters

| `series` | string | Yes | Series name (for example `FAC`) |

## Permissions

Only **OWNERS** and **ADMINS** can delete series. Writes on a closed organization return `403 ORGANIZATION_CLOSED`.

A successful deletion returns no response body.

## Common Errors

### 401 Unauthorized

Authentication required.

### 403 Forbidden

Only owners and admins can delete series, or the organization is closed (`ORGANIZATION_CLOSED`).

### 404 Not Found — `SERIES_NOT_FOUND`

The organization has no series with that name.

### 409 Conflict — `SERIES_IS_DEFAULT`

The series is the default of one or more CFDI types. The message names them by name, joined with "y" when there are several (for example "Ingreso y Traslado").
